What It Means for Malaysian Buyers

The Illegear Apex lineup introduces aggressive competitive pricing into Malaysia's high-refresh gaming monitor market, particularly within the budget 200Hz to 280Hz segment. Backed by a domestic brand, these models provide accessible entry points for esports enthusiasts seeking fast IPS panels without paying the higher premiums charged by established international display vendors.

At RM499—or RM399 during the early pre-order window—the Apex 25 undercuts much of the local 1080p high-refresh competition, providing an unusual 200Hz ceiling alongside modern HDMI 2.1 connectivity. Meanwhile, the RM899 Apex 27 Plus delivers 1440p resolution at 280Hz with an ergonomic stand, filling a demanding niche for gamers who require high frame rates and sharper pixel density. Buyers seeking immediate delivery must wait until late November 2026, but the early-bird savings provide clear incentive for those prepared to pre-order.

At pre-order pricing of RM399 and RM799, Illegear's Apex monitors set a competitive local benchmark for high-refresh IPS displays in Malaysia.
